Cryptocoins mining stats with Raspberry Pi 3 model B

As already said in previous articles, in this post I will share my mining stats. For this purpose, I’m going to use my Raspberry Pi 3 model B, fully dedicated to mining task.
Software preparation can be found in my previous articles:

I choose to mine using Pooled mining, as I think this can be more useful for short-term stats. My favourite mining pool is Minergate, but you can choose between thousand of pools available over the web, as you can try Solo mining instead.
Data will be collected considering about 1 day (24 hours) of uninterrupted mining. Because of hardware stress, I assured my raspberry proper cooling with a fan and used option “-t 3” to use 3 of 4 cores of Raspberry. This let my hardware to maintain a controlled temperature.
IMPORTANT NOTE: these data have been measured in my environment, with my hardware and in the days I performed that. Because of mining nature, everyone could experience different performances and also my tests, if repeated in a different day, could perform differently. So the following is just a report of what I collected in my experiment.

As you can see, average mining rate for our Raspberry Pi is about 7,5 H/s. Evalutaing earning must take also in consideration Coin value at the time you are mining.
Be aware: I said coins earned and not profits! Profits must be calcualted also taking in consideration the following direct costs:

  • Power used during mining activity
  • Internet connection rates

and the following indirect costs:

  • Hardware timelife (from mean time between failures)
  • fees to transfer coins to your private portfolio or trading platform
  • feed to trade coins to your favourite coin (or fiat)
